“ If you love soul food with a little of what I thought might be a Creole twist, this is definitely a stop worth making!! There are several apps throughout Florida AND Chicago. We had the baked chicken (it comes with dark meat only--2 drumsticks, 1 thigh), collard greens (with pork chunks), candied yams, and pigeon peas & rice. Everything was delicious!!! Great seasoning in everything! Absolutely scrumptious candied yams! A few shakes of their hot sauce on the peas and rice (that was wonderfully seasoned) was just marvelously delicious! We chose a slice of the red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. It was SOOOO moist, almost like a fudgy, brownie consistency--but just right! Be sure to try a slice of their cakes! One small disclaimer about the collard greens... The pork that was used with the collard greens and that flavored them so nicely had several little pieces of bones. If you aren't used to bones in your food, it could be off-putting. We just set them aside and enjoyed the wonderful flavor! ”

We were here for the first time celebrating our 5 year anniversary and she made the experience worth celebrating it there. She was very knowledgeable helpful and attentive. The food was OMG DELICIOUS. Hot fresh and very good. Some of the best soul food I’ve had cooked by a restaurant. We will be back. The fried broccoli is a must try. ”
